Lynne was a corporate caterer in Sydney and John is a civil engineer, managing a large construction company. After 4 years at Roseworthy in South Australia , Lynne became engrossed in grapes, dragging John into the wine industry. They made their first wine in 2000. With John’s attention to detail, meticulous nature and Lynne’s artistic flair , they make stylish cool climate wines with their small basket press that are ageing beautifully. Roundstone have 20 acres under vine on gentle north facing slopes. Now entering their eighth vintage the vines are producing fruit that enables the production of complex wines with distinctive Yarra Valley characteristics. The Roundstone wines include Gamay, one of the rarest varieties in Australia as well as a barrel fermented Viognier and the acclaimed Rubies Pinot Noir.
